Kiwi Opera Singer Teddy Tahu Rhodes Involved in Sex Tape Scandal
Kiwi opera singer Teddy Tahu Rhodes is reportedly involved in a sex tape scandal involving an unknown woman. The partner of Australian TV actress Lisa McCune was apparently filmed engaging in sexual acts with a brunette woman.
It is unknown when the video was shot, but it is believed to have been filmed some years ago as the 47-year-old baritone appears in the clip without his recent tattoos.
It has been leaked to Woman’s Day and New Idea magazines, which reported on the explicit details of the scenes.
According to New Idea, McCune, 43, was shocked by the video’s existence, but her reps declined to make a comment.
The four-time Gold Logie winner struck a relationship with the New Zealand operatic singer in 2012 when they were still both married to other people. The pair, who were starring in the musical “South Pacific” in Australia then, were spotted kissing and cuddling in public.
Rhodes was married twice, with his marriage to mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard ending in 2013.
Leonard was contacted for comment by Woman’s Day, though her rep said the American songstress hasn’t seen her ex-husband since they split and “knows nothing of any video”
McCune has been married to Tim Disney since 2000. They have three children together.
Rhodes and McCune currently star together in “The King and I” at the Princess Theatre in Melbourne.
“Hopefully it’s because we’re right for the roles,” Rhodes previously said in an interview, referring to their pairing. “Lisa is perfect for Anna and I think I’m lucky to be playing the King of Siam.
“I think that’s what makes it work – the chemistry is really important. We’ll leave it at that.”
