Korn have made their place in the history books after being inducted into the RockWalk. The induction ceremony took place on Tuesday, Oct. 8 at Guitar Center in Hollywood, California. They were inducted on the day when their new album "The Paradigm Shift" was released.

All the five member of Korn (Californian Nu Metal band), namely, Brain "Head" Welch, James "Munky" Shaffer, Ray Luzier and Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu were present at the ceremony on Sunset Boulevard.

Jim Ladd initiated the ceremony by saying, "Korn has done the seemingly impossible . . . they have made Bakersfield hip."

Rob Zombie was invited for the official introduction, and he remarked at the event: "Immediately I could tell these guys are the real deal, they have something unique going on. Everything about it, from the double attack of the guitars, the bizarre bass-tone and the drums, was just so unique and so interesting."

John 5, guitar player of Zombie, also attended the event.

After the official introduction by Rob, the band was called onstage and then they added their handprints in the RockWalk cement. This was followed by a series Q&A.

When asked how the band members felt about this honour, guitarist Munky replied, "It's an honour to be in the category with so many other great musicians and people who work really hard in this industry."

Head joined his bandmates after 8 years, on the occasion he said, "It's awesome, it's like a gift that was given to me that I didn't know I wanted or was coming. It's just surreal how it all worked out, you can totally tell it was meant to be, things fall into place in life and this fell into place and it's like riding a wave. It's really fun."

Guitar Center's RockWalk is committed to honouring those bands and artists who have made a lasting contribution in rock 'n' roll, blues, and R&B. Korn's handprints will be with Jimmy Page, Iron Maiden, Run-DMC, Queen, B.B. King, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Eric Clapton, George Martin and many other promising artists.
