Kris Jenner, the 55-year-old mother of Kim Kardashian, defends her daughter about the spreading rumours of the marriage with basketball star Humphries just a "sham".

Jenner, who recently launched her own book, said that Kim also spent a lot of her own money for that event and that she did not do it to earn money. In her interview during The Morning radio show, she addressed straight to the point this gossip that never failed in annoying her.

"She didn't make a dime and, actually, spent millions of dollars on the wedding - so it's not something that she thought would ever not be happily ever after," Jenner attested.

The short-lived union of Kardashian and Humphries has gathered up a lot of criticism from around the globe, even from fellow celebrities in the industry, tweeting their own opinions about the matter. Against all odds, Jenner remains very proud of her daughter. She even added, "Kim had to make a very difficult, grown-up decision. She needed to do that on her own."

"Kim's not the first person in the world to get a divorce, and she won't be the last. She just happens to be a very public person with a couple of television shows on the air so it makes it bigger than life," Jenner says as one faithful mother always ready to take the side of her daughters.

It was business as usual for Kim as she spends time in Australia with her sister Khloe while Kris Humphries consistently tells in interviews that he still loves his wife dearly.

Kris Jenner's book is entitled "Kris Jenner... And All Things Kardashian".
