The members of the Kardashian-Jenner clan may have been hijacking the fashion scene as of late, but there are still some stones left unturned for the celebrity family. Matriarch Kris Jenner ventured into something new this year by releasing a cookbook entitled "In The Kitchen With Kris, A Kollection of Kardashian Jenner Family Favorites." While promoting the book's release, Kris went on the Today Show to talk about the book and give a sneak peek at some of the recipes that could be found in it.

She started off with a recipe for a "Hearty chicken soup" that she says is a go-to comfort food for her younger kids Rob, Kendall and Kylie. She shared that it is also one of her ex-husband, Bruce Jenner's, favourites. The recipe is hearty indeed with a combination of chunks of rotisserie chicken, pasta and loads of veggies.

With Halloween just around the corner, "Kim's pumpkin bread" recipe could be put into good use. Kris explained that she calls it Kim's bread because she got the recipe when Kim was still in school and it was what she came home with one day after a recipe swap. She also says that Kim is the reason why she makes the bread because Kim's birthday that is October 21, falls near Halloween. Her parties always feature pumpkin that is abundant around that time.

Still taking some inspiration from her daughter Kim, Kris shared a recipe for a grown up version of macaroni and cheese which is a lot more sophisticated than the ones that could be picked up in a box from the grocery store. The Kardashian Jenner version features six different kinds of cheese.

Finally, no meal is complete without dessert and Kris shared one of the recipes that she says she's been making for ages, a berry cobbler. She said that it's a convenient recipe for entertaining and very quick to make. The best time to make it is during the summer when fresh berries are readily available.

Kris had also previously shared her pasta primavera recipe in an interview with Giuliana Rancic. The book is now out both in hard cover and in e-book versions and she has even gotten a shout out of support from celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey.
