Kris Jenner Skips Birthday Lunch With Bruce Jenner And Their Children

The newly-single reached another milestone in his life this week as he celebrated his 65th birthday on Oct. 28. The gold-medal winning former Olympian went out to enjoy lunch with the Kardashian and Jenner kids but his ex-wife Kris Jenner was notably absent.

Bruce was joined by his step children Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian as well as his kids Kendall and Kylie Jenner. Kim posted a photo of the group as well as a photo of herself with Bruce and Kylie Jenner. Khloe also shared a group photo as well as one of herself and Kylie sans Bruce.

Kourtney, meanwhile, went back to the family tradition of posting throwback photos on birthdays. She posted an old photo of Bruce as he was holding up the gold medal that he won in the Olymipcs which made him a national hero and nationwide celebrity even before "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" went on air. Kourtney captioned the photo: "Happy birthday Bruce! You have been such an inspiration always. I love you!"

The notable absentees from the small family gathering were Robert Kardashian Jr. and Kris Jenner. While Rob's absence is hardly a surprise due to his behaviour in recent months, Kris Jenner's absence is a deviation from her usual persistence of getting the family together, particularly on special occasions. Rob has been avoiding many family gatherings since last year and he has even limited his appearances in the family's reality TV shows, as well.

Meanwhile, Kris Jenner has also not mentioned anything about Bruce and his big day on her social media sites. The same could be said about her recently launched cookbook, "In The Kitchen With Kris, A Kollection of Kardashian Jenner Family Favorites." Other members of the family featured prominently in the book but there was no word on Bruce. She said that she has made the book for the kids and the grandchildren. She also said that while Bruce is a great guy, she wrote the book during the time that they were getting a divorce, hence her decision to leave him out of it.

Bruce has recently been linked to Ronda Kamihira who is one of Kris Jenner's closest friends. Kris has since denied knowing about it and being upset about the news. And, Kris has been spotted multiple times with music executive Corey Gamble. She even took him to Kim Kardashian's birthday bash in Las Vegas, last week, There are still contrasting reports about the real status of their relationship.
