Kristen Stewart is everything but fake. She's only going to do what she wants to do and what she's comfortable in doing, that includes doing nude scenes, no matter how artsy it is going to come out. In her "Cloud of Sils" film, she refused to do a nude scene, with her co-star Juliette Binoche, because she "completely assumed her identity."

In an interview with Vanity Fair France, Kristen Stewart talked about her role in "Cloud of Sils Maria," including why she did not do a European nude scene. It did not cause any friction between her and the director Olivier Assayas, who was said to be just very supportive.

"It was another one of those Life imitating Art/Art imitating Life moments. We haven't really talked about Olivier [Assayas], but the way that he works is sort of by orchestration. Once he had cast us we had sort of preliminary, very general discussions about what it was about, and then once we started shooting, he really gave us our parts to play," the "Twilight" film series actress said.

She told that Olivier was quite reluctant to give an answered whenever she would push for one. "He would always say, like "I think it's really whatever you think." I would be coming to him with this big thing. I needed an answer. And he was like, "I think it's just whatever you want to do." He's, like, "That's why I hired you,"" Kristen Stewart told Vanity Fair France.

Kristen Stewart admits that she was self-conscious about going naked in a scene with Juliette Binoche. In a lake scene, Olivier asked them to do whatever they can to make the scene work and asked them to do what they are comfortable with. Since she is not at ease with the idea of being nude, she did not do it.

"I knew walking into it that I was going to do whatever she did. Once she started taking her clothes off and I started taking my clothes off I was just like, "Oh my God, I can't fucking get naked around her." I felt self-conscious as Valentine. I fully represented this American sort of modest self-consciousness and she, like, 100% started exuding her freedom. I completely assumed my own identity and went, "Nope. Fuck it. I'm sticking with undies," she said.

Her ability to just do what she is only comfortable with and not caring about the possible reactions of others makes her effective as an actor. This is why Vanity Fair reported earlier that even though Kristen is aware that people would perceive her as being aloof and having a bad attitude because she does not smile on her photos, she has no interest of doing something about it.
