Being the fairest of them all can come in handy for a lot of thing and protecting against injury apparently is not one of them. Actress Kristen Stewart was injured on the set of her upcoming film "Snow White and the Huntsman."

According to her costar, filming on the much-anticipated Snow White and the Huntsman was forced to shut down early today when leading lady Kristen Stewart was hurt in an accident on set. The mishap caused the production to close down early Tuesday. Filming is set to resume Friday.

"It's a wrap for today," tweeted Max Manganello, who plays one of the duke's soldiers in the flick.

"Kristen has hurt herself...nothing scary, We shoot on friday." tweeted the actor.

Unfortunately, there were no further details on what exactly went down and Manganello's subsequent decision to remove the tweet certainly suggests that the production team did not want the information out in public to begin with.

Although not much of the accident is known, Stewart's co-star Max Manganello said that the actress is fine and will be back to work in just a few days. The film is shooting in Marloes Sands Beach in Pembrokeshire Wales, United Kingdom. Photos of Stewart's "Snow White" clad in armor appeared online in September.

"It's not a little girl sitting by a well with little tweety birds telling her what to do and where to go," Stewart said of her character. "The costume makes you feel kind of strong occasionally, sometimes, but I kind of feel tiny. My pinhead sticks out of these enormous things," she added.

The movie co-stars Charlize Theron as the Evil Queen, Chris Hemsworth as the Huntsman and Sam Claflin as Prince Charming. The film is expected to open June 1, 2012.
