"Twilight" actress Kristen Stewart is reportedly relieved after watching the interview of Robert Pattinson on "The Daily Show" with host Jon Stewart.

The 22-year old actress may now have come to terms that her relationship with the British heartthrob is over but she is thankful that Pattinson did not talk about their personal business in public.

"Just like his devout fans, Kristen tuned into Robert's interview with Jon Stewart with drawn breath. But after seeing him deflect the questions about her, Kristen's anxiety soon disappeared and instead she was filled with regret," a source revealed.

Apparently, Kristen Stewart is still hoping that she would get a second chance with Robert Pattinson but after seeing the actor during the interview only made her realize that it was finally over between them.

"While she was obviously relieved that Robert didn't trash her, the realization that their relationship was finally over hit her hard. Kristen was praying that after the dust settled she would get another chance and she was clinging on to that hope. But she knows now that it's not to be," the source continued to share.

Meanwhile, the source believes that Kristen Stewart is also hoping that eventually she can become friends with Pattinson.

"Instead, she's believes that they can now work on a friendship and is desperate to apologize to Robert in person for her affair with Rupert," the source said. Will Robert Pattinson accept Kristen Stewart's apology and have a friendship with her afterwards?

Clearly, the 26-year old Pattinson refused to be drawn on the subject of Kristen Stewart's cheating on him with the married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders during his interview on "The Daily Show."

Despite host Jon Stewart's probing efforts to get the heartbroken actor to talk, Robert Pattinson just laughed off the attempts and quickly moved on to promoting his new movie "Cosmopolis."
