Kristen Stewart has been called one of the most promising actors of her generation. She's not the most outgoing actress around, but her aloofness seems to work in her favour. Kristen Stewart has said that she is one of the fortunate ones to start her acting career at a young age. If she had not started early, she would not have been an actress, today, according to the "Twilight" star. She has also revealed that her parents were her biggest motivation to become an actress.

When asked how starting young in the acting business shaped her as an actor, Kristen Stewart said to Vanity Fair France that it was precisely because she started young that she has been able to become a good actress now. She also shared that she only pursued this dream at first because she wanted to follow in the footsteps of her parents.

"I attribute my early start to my ability to do this job. It requires being comfortable within an insane amount of attention. If I hadn't started out when I was really little I don't think I would have done this as a teenager or as a young adult. It's not in my make-up to go stand in the middle of a room. But I really wanted to be an actor and I wanted to make movies. I wanted to emulate my parents," Stewart said.

She also revealed that she was very awkward when she was young. However, the industry embraced her awkwardness, making her love being an actress all the more.

Kristen Stewart said in the interview that she was "kind of a cocky kid" and that it was difficult at school because of how she looked. The actress has admitted that it affected her. She said that she hated it when people were like, "Ewww you know, you don't look like ..."

"I would get called a man-and all this stuff. There was a very very brief time when it bothered me. Then it ended because when I started working I wasn't considered weird at all. I was cool. I liked myself. I felt really lucky. I feel really lucky to have been a kid in this business, because if you find the right road it is the most accepting, open environment that I could imagine," she reflected," she said.

Kristen Stewart said that actors are a bunch of odd people willing to put themselves out there, even at the risk of being criticised and hurt, just to tell a story. This is probably why Kristen Stewart seems to be always in control of herself despite paparazzi continuously at her heels. Her co-star in the "Cloud of Sils Maria," Juliette Binoche also observed the same thing. She has said that Kristen knows more about being a star than her, especially since she handles the paparrazi well, Wall Street Journal reports.
