Kylie Jenner says Justin Bieber helps her deal with growing up famous
Reality TV star Kylie Jenner has a massive support system called the Kardashian-Jenner clan. However, despite having a large extended family, she recently revealed in an interview with Elle UK that pop superstar Justin Bieber has been her confidante and advisor. Bieber knows a thing or two about growing up in the public eye, and he has apparently been guiding Jenner through the hazards of fame.
"I'm so close to him because I feel like he's been through exactly what I've been through in a completely different way but very similar," Jenner said in the cover feature for the February issue of Elle UK.
Bieber shot to fame in his early teens when he was discovered through a YouTube video. Jenner, meanwhile, has been surrounded by cameras since she was 11, thanks to their successful reality TV show, “Keeping up With the Kardashians.”
"He gets me, and every time I see him he always sits me down and is like, 'Are you OK? You're amazing. You can get through this, just stay true to yourself.' He helps me a lot," she said. Bieber also famously defended Jenner when she faced criticism from “Hunger Games” actress Amandla Stenberg for wearing her hair in braids.
Bieber has formed a close friendship with Jenner as well as other members of her family. He has been spotted hanging out with Kendall Jenner and has recently been rumoured to be dating Kourtney Kardashian. After being linked to both Kendall and Kylie in the past, the singer is now reportedly dating their oldest sister, following her split from Scott Disick. Bieber's road manager, Corey Gamble, is also currently dating momager Kris Jenner.
The February issue of Elle UK will hit newsstands on Jan. 1.
