Kylie Minogue breaks down while talking about ex-flame and deceased INXS singer Michael Hutchence
Australian singer Kylie Minogue recently had an emotional moment when she opened up about her deceased ex, Michael Hutchence.
During an interview with BBC’s Desert Island Discs, Minogue got emotional and broke down in front of the camera while discussing her ex. Hutchence and Minogue dated between 1989 and 1991. The INXS singer died in 1997 at the age of 37.
"I met a new person and I fell in love. Yes, he was this wild guy, he was the rocker, he was all of that. But I'm always at pains to say, he was Byron-esque, he was poetic, he was cultured and hilarious and tender, he was all of these other things,” Minogue said during the interview.
Minogue also shared that the hit track by INXS, “Need You Tonight,” is one of her desert island picks.
"I guess, I was at the perfect age, I was 21 years old, to get the butterfly wings and go out into the world and we collided at that time and I guess he just fast-tracked some of it. Anyway, it was a glorious time. I loved it," the singer added, opening her heart out during the interview.
The “Neighbour” star accredited her ex-flame for rebuilding her confidence when she reached a point of breakdown during her career. She praised Hutchence for believing in her and motivating her. Apart from Hutchence, the pop star also talked about her current love, Joshua Sasse.
"I have a love in my life, which is a beautiful thing. I'm on cloud nine most of the time because of Mr Joshua Sasse, my beau," she exclaimed. She also hinted on the possibility of raising a family with Sasse in the future. It was only in November that Minogue confirmed the reports of her relationship with the 28-year-old British television producer and film actor.
