Australia's sexy songstress Kylie Minogue will be taking center stage on this year's Mardi Gras in Sydney.

Mardi Gras is an annual event that celebrates the gay, lesbian and transgender community. Good news to fans: Kylie Minogue confirmed her participation for this year's event. Kylie last appeared in Mardi Gras in 1998.

Moreover, the singer was a known supporter of the said community and of the event.

Minogue began her career as a teenage actress on Australian television soap Neighbours, before moving into the music industry and releasing her debut single Locomotion in 1987. Last November, Minogue was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame and with this, she will be celebrating her 25th year in the music industry in Mardi Gras.

In an announcement, the event's organizers said, "Your support over the years has just been phenomenal and I can't wait to come home and share that with you. So see you in March."

Kylie responded to this announcement via social networking site Twitter saying, "Fourteen years since my last Mardi Gras! Can't wait to see you there in March," she tweeted with the hash tag #bringonthelove.

The event will happen on March 3.
