Australian pop princess Kylie Minogue has launched her 11th studio album, Aphrodite, at Amante Beach Club in Ibiza, Spain.

Wearing a white Grecian dress, the 42-year-old singer held a press conference to promote her new record in the dance capital of the world.
Named after the Greek goddess of love, the album includes the dance track All The Lovers, its first single released on June 13.

"The single was one of the last tracks to be written for the album. As I was recording it, I knew that All The Lovers had to be the first single - it sums up the euphoria of the album perfectly,'' Ms Minogue said.

"It gives me goose-bumps, so I'm really excited to hear what everyone thinks of it.''

Ms Minogue will fly back to Australia later this month to promote the record on which she worked with Madonna collaborator Stuart Price, who is executive producer and also among the songwriters.

"It's Kylie doing pop dance music at her best. When you look in your mind's eye at everything Kylie is, it's on this record,'' said Price.

The album contains 12 tracks, some of which were written by Scissor Sisters star Jake Shears, Calvin Harris, Nerina Pallot and Keane's Tim Rice-Oxley.
Ms Minogue has sold more than 60 million records worldwide.
