Kylie Minogue's Aphrodite: Les Folies Aussie tour kicks off Friday at Brisbane
Brisbane fans are sure geared up to see Australia's original pop princess strut her stuff, with tickets selling out as early as now. Kylie Minogue is set to run the first Aussie leg of her much talked-about $25 million Aprodite: Les Folies tour at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre tomorrow night.
Minogue, who's born and raised in Melbourne, has a lot to offer when it comes to her full-packaged performances. The extravagant concert is said to have a flamboyant stage worth $10 million, with props as expensive as $750,000, and aerial dancers to complement Kylie's 2 hours of singing and dancing. The tour is intended to further promote her successful 2010 release Aphrodite, which has already sold hundreds of thousands of copies worldwide.
Ticketing for the concert is divided into three areas, the $400 splash zone where fans enjoy a merchandise pack and an up close experience, the sold out gold tickets, and silver tickets that go for $130.35. Tickets sure don't come cheap, but Minogue guarantees the experience will be 'worth it'. Minouge expresses her excitement about performing for her Aussie fans, saying it's always a thrill to perform at home.
"I feed off the audience, we both come in with the best energy we can muster." Says Minogue in a press release held yesterday. Minogue announced this tour during an interview with BBC 's Jonathan Ross sometime in June of last year, and her fans couldn't be more ecstatic. The Aphrodite: Les Folies world tour kicked off last February in Denmark, with the last show in Cape Town on July. After tomorrow's anticipated show in Brisbane and another one the following day, Minogue will host 3 shows in Sydney and another 3 in Melbourne, with the last two Aussie shows in Adelaide and Perth.
