LA Lakers News: Kobe Bryant Showed No Sympathy Over Nick Young's Injury
Los Angeles Lakers superstar Kobe Bryant appeared to be indifferent as he showed no sympathy over Nick Young's injury.
Swaggy P seemed to have lost his swag for a moment after he tried to swipe the ball from the Black Mamba during practice, in which he got punished for making such a gamble as it tore a ligament in his right thumb due to Bryant's countermove.
"He's gotta move his feet on defense," said the five-time NBA Champion.
"That's the lesson to be learned: you reach, and you're gonna get hurt."
The former USC Trojan's contribution on the offensive end will definitely be missed since he will be one of the main contributors coming off the bench, and might miss around 17 regular season games.
"It hurts us, as far as that's a guy that we know that can come off the bench and provide instant offense for us," said Lakers coach Byron Scott.
"Obviously, we're going to have to look elsewhere for that. It hurts us."
"I really looked at our roster and thought we had 10 to 12 guys that I thought were really good at what we could do. We were going to have a really balanced rotation, but sometimes you have to make adjustments."
Young has already undergone surgery and is set to be sidelined for eight weeks.
