Lady Gaga, Bing's most searched musician for 2010
Lady Gaga ranked first inBing's Top 10 Most Searched Musicians of the year. This adds another crown on the multi-awarded artists. Gaga lost to Kim Kardashian when it came to overall searches, but when it comes to music, Lady Gaga proved to be unbeatable.
Gaga had a sensational year, after being named as one of the 100 Most Powerful and Influential people both by Forbes and Time. She also ranked the 7th most influential woman by Forbes. Lady Gaga's influence proved to extend even up to searches, landing fourth in overall searches in Bing, and the topmost searched musicians in the search engine.
The late King of Pop Michael Jackson is not very far behind, in third place. The feat is pretty remarkable considering he has not been around for more than a year now, yet people are still interested to know what's up with the King of Pop.
The Canadian singer Justin Bieber was in second place, failing short from pouncing Lady Gaga off the top spot, but edging out the Michael Jackson. Bieber had also been making a lot of buzz this year, scoring several nominations at the Grammys and scoring four American Music Awards. Next year, he will also have a concert in Australia where he proved to be quite popular among teenage girls/
Taylor Swift placed sixth in the list, which comes in no surprise as her album Speak Now was breaking left and right, after selling a million copies within a week of release. Couple that with her infamous clash with Kanye West, and the brewing romance with Jake Gyllenhaal, it would certainly make the country singer as one of the most searched musician in Bing.
