Lady Gaga Goes Topless for New Versace Ad Campaign

Lady Gaga starts the New Year with a new photo from her Versace ad campaign -- and a topless one, at that.

The Poker Face singer tweeted Wednesday night a topless photo of her from her ad campaign from the Italian fashion house. She captioned the photo with 'Happy New Years from HAUS OF GAGA and @Versace!'

Versace's official Twitter account responded with 'A special Happy New Year to the most glamourous @ladygaga !!!!!'

The Mother Monster was wearing her long platinum blonde hair down so it covered her breasts. She was also wearing rose-patterned trousers, a belt with a huge buckle with the shape of the Versace logo and chunky chain necklaces.

Last November, Gaga was introduced as the newest face of Versace with two photos of the ad campaign released through social media. In all of the ad photos, Gaga was styled to make her a deadringer of the fashion house's creative director Donatella Versace.

A day after the ad campaign photos were released, Lady Gaga walked the red carpet of the American Music Awards (AMA) wearing the lilac dress she wore in one of the ad photo and sporting the same Donatella-like look she had for the campaign.

Prior to her launch as the latest Versace ambassador, Gaga has worn two custom-made outfits from the fashion house during her appearance on Saturday Night Live.

Lady Gaga and Donatella have been friends for quite some time before the former became the face of the latter's fashion label. Donatella says Gaga is 'like family to me, the embodiment of the Versace DNA.'

Gaga also said the same towards Versace's creative director in an interview during the AMAs.

'Donatella is family to me, and she's alway been so supportive of my career. It was a wonderful experience, and it's a wonderful coup d'etat for the fans as well. You know? I'm just a girl who made outfits out of trash from New York, and now I'm working with Versace!' said Gaga.

Lady Gaga has been known to be a fan of Donatella and the Versace brand prior to the ad campaign, so much that she dedicated a song from the album ARTPOP to her. In the song Donatella, Gaga sings 'Maybe she's a bitch, maybe she's too skinny, maybe she's too rich, maybe she's too out there. Or, maybe she's brilliant, maybe she's intelligent, maybe she's strong, maybe she's everything, maybe she's Donatella.
