The influential pop star Lady Gaga has a new fan: Prime Minister Julia Gillard.

In an exclusive interview on MySpace, the Prime Minister said that she feels a moderate connection. "I feel a moderate, moderate connection to her because Tim's (her partner Tim Mathieson) daughter has worked doing some hair and make-up for her," she said, after being asked of her preferrence between Lady Gaga and Beyonce.

Early this year, the artists collaborated with the chart-topper 'Telephone.' Gaga is leading in this years MTV Music Video Awards with a record breaking thriteen nominations.

Meanwhile, despite previous claims that her upcoming album was complete, Lady Gaga revealed to Ryan Seacrest that she has not been able to finish LP. The influential artists said that she has had 'flashes of inspiration.' "I know I told everyone my album was done, but I can't stop writing. I might have to put out two records. I never stop writing. I'm always in the studio and always writing," she said.
