Lady Gaga Opens Up: 'I have never truly felt cherished by a lover'
As the world may imagine, Lady Gaga would be never out of romance in her life. But the singer recalls her bad romances and fears that she will end up alone.
In her interview with Vanity Fair, the million dollar record selling artist admits that when it comes to relationship, she's not an expert as she is in music and fears she might end up in a life of singlehood.
"I have never felt truly cherished by a lover. I have an inability to know what happiness feels like with a man," the eccentric singer-songwriter said.
Her revelation might come off as a surprise to her new beau Taylor Kinney. She has been seen with "The Vampire Diaries" star for almost seven months now.
"I have this effect on people where it starts out good," the singer said that while romance may start good, it rarely lasts. "Then when I'm in these relationships with people who are also creative, or creative in their own way, what happens is the attraction is initially there and it's all unicorns and rainbows. And then they hate me." added the singer.
The 25 year-old singer also shared that she encountered break ups that lead to an impromptu proposal. She was believed to have been engaged to Luc Carl.
"How f***in' romantic, you a**hole. Sure pop a ring on my finger and make it all better," the singer said candidly while she laments on the scenario.
"I've really never loved anyone like I loved him. Or like I love him," she recalled. "That relationship really shaped me. I sort of resolved that if you can't have the guy of your dreams, there are other ways to give love."
But being a self confessed workaholic, she said that she'd pick out her career first before a man. If she had to choose between music and love, she said she would definitely choose music.
