Lady Gaga's former tour manager alleged that the pop star suffers from a serious eating disorder and was in the hospital for six times last year. David Cienmy claimed that Lady Gaga is physically and mentally sick.

"When I say she was sick, I mean physically and mentally," Cienmy was quoted by RadarOnline as saying in an unauthorized biography "Poker Face: The Rise and Rise of Lady Gaga."

According to a wiki entry on Haus of Gaga, David "Dark" Ciemny is a "tech guy" who was Lady Gaga's tour manager worldwide for 2008 to 2009, for eighteen (18) months. Cienmy reportedly said in the book that Lady Gaga does crash diets and once lost 20 pounds between the first fitting for a show outfit and final one.

In the book, Lady Gaga's former manager said the popstar had to be hospitalized six times in 2009 due to her massive sweet food binges and then crash dieting, offering it as the reason behind the cancellation of her shows early this year.

Author Maureen Callahan, seven-year editor for New York Post, interviewed 50 "friends, employees, rivals, and music industry veterans" in an ambitious attempt to chronicle the comet-like rise of Twitter Queen Lady Gaga from the awkward teen Stefani Germanotta to a world-famous performer.

The book is due to be released in September 14.
