Lady Gaga, Rihanna and the rest of the current crop of female pop singers are way too raunchy for children, says Mick Stock, songwriter for Kylie Minogue.

Stock said that the pop genre nowadays is not suitable for children. In an interview with NME Magazine, he called Lady Gaga as 'a pole dance.' He is convinced that "the stuff that Rihanna and the recent stuff are extremely explicit" and thus , are not to be regarded as pop music.

"I've always held out for decent pop, which to me is music that can be appreciated by all ages," Stock said, "The more racy stuff that you see going on nowadays is not something you could put two to ten-year-olds in front of, and you're embarrassed if you sit there with your mum."

Meanwhile, Rihanna joins an exclusive club of singers with her Eminem duet "Love the Way You Lie." The Barbadian singer has officially six number 1 songs on the Pop song radio airplay chart. Other singers who managed the same feat are Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga and Beyonce. The latter two earned their place together with their collaboration in 'Telephone' earlier this year.
