Lady Gaga Rumoured to Host ‘Saturday Night Live’
"Monster Mother" fans gear up. Our very own Lady Gaga is set to host one of the upcoming episodes of "Saturday Night Live."
The pop queen will make an appearance on the hit show "Saturday Night Live" for the third time. But this time it is going to be different as she will have double responsibilities as host and musical guest, reports TVLine.
It will be great to see Gaga's signature comic acts along with her dancing and singing on this show. She will be a part of the NBC show as returns for its 39th season. It is, certainly a great news for all Lady Gaga fans.
Gaga appeared in the 2009 and 2011 as the musical guest. The 2009 episode was hosted by Ryan Reynolds, while the 2011 was done by Justin Timberlake. When contacted an NBC rep declined to say anything on Gaga's possible hosting act, maintaining that "Saturday Night Live's" lineup is not yet finalized, as reported by TVLine.
Memories from the 2011 Gaga's performance are fresh in our minds, when she did a performance with Andy Samberg and Justin Timberlake. The funny digital short with a follow-up song "3-Way (The Golden Rule)" and "D- -K in a Box" skit was certainly a classic "Saturday Night Live" act.
Apart from her appearance on the small screen, Gaga will also be seen in a few Hollywood flicks. She is slated to appear in "Sin City 2" and "Machete Kills."
"Yes its true, I will be making my debut as an actress in the amazing MACHETE KILLS BY @ RODRIGUEZ," she tweeted and showed her excitement after bagging the role in the sequel of "Machete" (2010).
"IM SO EXCITED!!! AH! Filming was insane," she later tweeted about her experience.
Her rumoured hosting debut on "Saturday Night Live" is stated to be a promotional act for her much-awaited new album "ARTPOP" which is set to hit the stores on Nov. 11. The show returns for its 39th season on Sept. 28 on NBC.
