Pop singer Lady GaGa plans to take a very long break from speaking to the media as she said in an interview with Oprah Winfrey. The singer also talked about her desire to have a husband and children. Lady GaGa, whose real name is Stefani Germanotta, added that she has already stopped paying attention to what is written about her or the music industry.

"Other than this interview, Oprah, I do not intend to speak to anyone for a very long time," she said in an interview aired on Oprah's Next Chapter.

"No press, no television," Lady GaGa stated.

"Even if my mum calls and says, 'Did you hear about ...' I shut it all off," she said. "I don't read a damn thing," she further stated, adding that the media silence will help her creative process as she works on her new material.

According to Lady GaGa, her "Twitter" account will be the only way she communicates with her fans for the next few months. She currently has 21 million followers. Lady GaGa talked about her future and her family in the wide-ranging interview with Winfrey that also included a trip to the New York apartment where she grew up.

Lady GaGa was asked if she saw herself some day as a wife and a mother. "Yes, I want kids. I want a soccer team, and I want a husband," GaGa said. However, she put no time frame on that ambition by saying that she wants to experience being pregnant but not just yet.

GaGa's mother, Cynthia Germanotta, spoke to Oprah what it is like to be the mom of one of the most famous and controversial pop stars on the planet saying that she was often alarmed by her early stage performances. Meanwhile, Lady GaGa said that her own mother has inspired her to give back with the "Born This Way" Foundation.
