The teen pedestrian hit in the car accident involving NBA star, Lamar Odom died after suffering from severe head injuries.

The Los Angeles Lakers star was riding a hired car over the weekend when it crashed into a motorcyclist that hit a 15-year-old pedestrian.

The report by Huliq described Odom’s car hitting a smaller vehicle seen ‘flying through the air' then hitting the teen walking in the area during the collision.

According to Star Pulse, the still unnamed teen was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in Queens but medical authorities failed to save him due to the severity of his injuries. The boy died one day after the incident, said Star Pulse and the funeral services was held Tuesday, July 19.

Odom was uninjured in the accident but the famous NBA player was reportedly shaken up whenever he remembers what caused the death of a teen that involved him.

Devastated, Lodom according to Huliq posted ‘a heartfelt message’ to the victim and his family, saying that his "thoughts and prayers are with the young boys family.”

Khloe Kardashian’s husband also tweeted Monday, "Thank you for your support and prayers". For her part, Khloe also expressed concern over the incident as she tweeted: "My heart/soul goes out 2every1 in pain from any suffering. Pray 4all of the angels surrounding us constantly. May our spirits stay strong.'

Speculations have been raised as to whether the celebrity couple will discuss the fatal car accident over their reality show.
