Lamar Odom has been tested negative for drugs, on Tuesday, reported TMZ. According to the source, Odom went through a series of urine and blood tests to determine if drugs run in his system, and it turned out that the former Los Angeles Lakers player is clean and free from drugs. He tested negative.

Odom has remained on top of the headlines of many celebrity gossip Web sites because of his continuous struggle in battling drug abuse. On Friday, IBT-Australia posted an article on how Odom has been curing his addiction.

It is definitely great news for Odom and maybe for Khloe Kardashian too, if he really stayed sober and tested negative on drugs. He could definitely get a shot at playing in the most popular basketball league NBA, anytime soon.

TMZ reported on Wednesday that Odom is scheduled to fly to New York City (NYC). Supposedly, Odom is going to meet with some executives from several basketball teams who had expressed great interest on him. The executives want to see Odom personally to determine if the basketball player is clean. Who knows, these executives would get him a deal if the trip went well.

However, it looks like we won't be seeing Odom back in the hard court, just yet. It appears that Odom bailed on his flight to NYC. TMZ posted an update on its Web site. A source close to Odom told TMZ that Lamar suddenly felt perturbed of the said trip and has not rearranged the schedule.

We would definitely love to see Odom bounce back and recover from his drug addiction and just make a nice comeback in the NBA. Surely, there would be a lot of fans rooting for him and Odom's former teammates would be delighted to see him play again.
