Being Lara Bingle last week surprised critics when it gathered nearly a million viewers for the reality show's premiere episode. Josh Bingle, Lara's older brother, says he is hopeful for an "even better" rating this Tuesday night.

Josh, a former crane operator, is also seen in the reality show featuring the life of the model-actress.

Herald Sun reported Josh quit his day job last week knowing the reality show will be successful.

"I was told (Ten Network) was really happy with last week so we're hoping the second one is even better," Josh said.

"Obviously everyone wants the show to do well. We wouldn't have gone into something like this if we weren't hoping it would be a success," Josh told Herald Sun.

The older Bingle has also spoken for her sister who has been widely criticized in social networks for the controversies she has gotten into in the past.

"She's really not that bad. She doesn't do anything that warrants some of the things people say about her so it's a bit upsetting," Josh said, adding, "So I try not to read too much into what's out there."

The pilot episode of the 10-part reality show hinted a budding relationship between Josh and Lara's best friend and manager Hermione Underwood. However, Josh was quick to reveal he is still single.

“I think the greatest thing is doing something that you believe in, and it’s gone really well,” Lara Bingle said, while pondering on her show's first run last week. Her best friend and manager Hermione Underwood holds the microphone.

On pedestrian.tv, Lara and Hermione speak about their thoughts on the series.

"I think the greatest thing is doing something that you believe in, and it's gone really well," Lara said, noting that she and her manager both believed in the project, which has been "surreal in a sense."

Being Lara Bingle reviews last week pointed out the show was boring for their taste. A second serving Tuesday night could make or break viewers' reception of the show.

"In saying that the show was dull, I want to make it clear that I'm not condemning Bingle herself... it was the editors and producers that failed here," TheVine's AlexGorman wrote.

Beating Lara Bingle to the Top 10 last week were: Bikie Wars-Ten (10th placer at 1,029,000), The Big Bang Theory-Nine (11th at 984,000), and Home and Away-Seven (12th at 968,000).
