'The Last Kingdom' season 2: New behind-the-scenes picture
A new behind-the-scenes picture from the production set of “The Last Kingdom” season 2 has been posted online. Filming for the show has already wrapped, and it is currently in the post production phase of development.
New viewers are discovering the BBC TV series every day. The one question everyone has on their mind at the moment is – when will the next season air? A new behind-the-scenes picture [see below] teases the fans by asking them to raise their hands if they wish they were watching the story continue right now.
The picture shows two crew members watching the filming of a scene on a monitor. Commenting on the post, most of the fans had just one request –hurry up by release the next season soon.
The first season had eight episodes, and the ending promised new adventures and more action to come. The Danes and the Saxons are set to go to war once again in “The Last Kingdom” season 2, with the protagonist Uhtred of Bebbanburg (Alexander Dreymon) in a much better position now to lead the war.
Uhtred had a rough journey in the first season. From a traumatic experience in his childhood, to the tragic event that started his journey after growing up, the character has faced many hurdles.
The main plot of the next season is expected to focus on the Saxons reclaiming their land from the Danes, who have been able to conquer most of the realm. The story will also focus on how Uhtred will plan to take the lands that once belonged to his father.
“The Last Kingdom” season 2 is set to premiere sometime this year. The producers are yet to announce an exact release date. The producers are yet to confirm the airing of the show on the BBC channel in Australia, but it can be watched on Netflix at the moment.
