In 2013 fans bid a tearful farewell to the "Jelena" couple. Many had thought that Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber would last forever but alas the inevitable split had happened. However, the New Year rings in a cute couple set to replace them and they are none other than One Direction's Niall Horan and Barbara Palvin.

The rumours of Niall Horan dating Barbara Palvin first emerged when they were spotted on a secret movie date to see "Hunger Games: Catching Fire." Things got pretty heated up when they were again seen together in London enjoying a session of golf and making out. Onlookers claimed Niall was giving the Victoria's Secret model pointers for the perfect swing with a few smooches in between.

"All you people asking, Niall and Barbara were kissing and hugging last night, guessing their together now #nomorequestions," tweeted George with the Twitter handle, @varleygeorge.

Despite the constant hounding by the media, Niall and Barbara didn't dish on the real deal between them. Obviously, something romantic was going on between them. They were again seen together at a pub and again at the "X-Factor" grand finale after party. Horan was spotted talking to Palvin backstage. They had even left the event holding hands.

Solid proof that can finally state that they are a couple is that they had spent New Year's Eve together. Niall and Barbara were seen together along with another One Direction couple, Liam Payne and Sophia Smith in London. The two couples enjoyed a double date at a Gary Barlow concert.

In addition, in Louis Tomlinson's sister's, Fizzy, Ask.fm account, she had claimed the two are indeed dating. "Directioners" will just have to accept the fact that Niall Horan is no longer available which means the only member of 1D that isn't in a serious relationship is Harry Styles.

With 2014 only having begun, "Directioners" will certainly see more of Barbara Palvin and Niall Horan hanging out together. Like the famous "Nariana" couple, they'd probably announce their relationship after a few more months. Hopefully, fans of Niall don't go to the extremes of hating on the model for dating their Irish-cutie singer.
