Martin Scorsese is set to work with Harry Potter stars in his latest motion picture "Hugo Cabret," according to reports. News about this team up surfaced not too long after the famous director expressed interest in working with actor Rupert Grint, who plays Ron Weasley in the wizarding franchise.

Richard Griffiths, Frances de la Tour and Helen McCrory, who respectively portray Vernon Durley, Madame Maxime and Narcissa Malfoy in Harry Potter, have all been named as part of the cast of Scorsese's first ever 3D film.

Already in production, the film is based on the novel "The Invention of Hugo Cabret," and tells the story of an orphan in the 1930s who lives in the walls of a train station. The character is tasked with finishing the work of his late father on a broken robot.

Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen and Jude Law are also in "Hugo Cabret," which is scheduled for release in December 2011.
