With the property market in the peak spring period, Petra Sprekos, general manager of realestateVIEW.com.au said although the state suffers from general supply issues which directly put pressure on pricing and also rents, more properties are entering the
market in Tasmania.

"With more than 90 percent of property hunters using online as their first port of call to search the property market, the top 10 listing provides a good indication of where the highest levels of buyer interest is," Sprekos said.

"The spring selling season is well under way, with an influx of properties entering the market," Sprekos said. "Despite median house prices increasing 3.2 percent nationally for the June quarter, it's still a great time for buyers in Tasmania to get online and search for their dream home."

Web site data shows 73 percent of searches conducted indicated buyers were looking for a house as their ideal property type while 21 percent of browsers were searching for a unit, apartment or studio and only 6 percent were looking to buy a townhouse.

The island of Tasmania is the 26th largest island in the world with majority if its half million residents living in Hobart.
