Laura Prepon has not committed to Season 2 of "Orange is the New Black." Laura's character Alex Vause might appear in only one episode when the new season premieres sometime in 2014.

In August, Buzzfeed had first reported that Laura may not return as a series regular in "Orange is the New Black" Season 2. According to the latest Buzzfeed's report, "the actress is scheduled to appear in only one episode" in the second season of Netflix's original drama-comedy series.

Citing a source close to "Orange is the New Black" team, Buzzfeed reports that Laura's character, Alex Vause, will tie-up all the loose ends in that one episode. She has yet to begin shooting for the second season, the filming of which is currently going on in New York.

There is no official confirmation, yet. But, Laura and Netflix have not released any statement denying the latest report. When the news of Laura leaving "Orange is the New Black" first surfaced, Netflix had said "not accurate."

"Orange is the New Black," developed by Jenji Kohan, is based on Piper Kerman's memoir of the same name. Alex Vause, portrayed by Laura, is the lesbian drug smuggler and ex-lover of the main character Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling). Alex Vause is an inmate in the same prison where Piper Chapman is serving her 15 month prison term.

Taylor had no clue about whether her character's former-lover will stay or intends to leave the hit drama series. She had said to E! Online, "Well, you know, I don't really know anything about that, I just know that she's an amazing actress and I've really had an incredible time working with her and I know that there's no end to that relationship."

Laura had signed a one year contract, with "Orange is the New Black."

The fans of "Orange is the New Black" and Alex Vause are disappointed with the news of their much loved and popular character sudden departure. Will her departure affect the popularity of the drama series? The new season may provide the answers.
