Lauren Bacall Dies At 89 A Day After Robin Williams Suicide [WATCH VIDEOS]

Lauren Bacall, the legendary Hollywood actress known for films such as "The Mirror Has Two Faces" (1996), "To Have and Have Not" (1944), "Key Largo" (1948) and "How to Marry a Millionaire" (1953) has died at 89 years old in New York City. Bacall passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, just a day after Hollywood actor and comedian Robin Williams committed suicide by hanging himself with a belt on Aug. 11, 2014 in Paradise Cay, near

Tiburon, California. Aside from their family and friends, Hollywood is surely mourning the loss of two of its most talented and celebrated actors.

According to TMZ, one of Bacall's family members said that the actress suffered from a stroke on the morning of Aug. 12, 2014 at her home in New York. The Bogart Estate also confirmed Bacall's death in a Twitter message.

"With deep sorrow, yet with great gratitude for her amazing life, we confirm the passing of Lauren Bacall," tweeted Bogart Estate.

Bacall's name was often associated with fellow Hollywood actor Humphrey Bogart (Dec. 25, 1899 - Jan. 14, 1957) because she appeared in a lot of films with him including "The Big Sleep" (1946), "Dark Passage" (1947) and "Key Largo."

Aside from being famous costars in numerous Hollywood films, Bacall and Bogart also became husband and wife in real life, up until Bogart died in 1957. They had two children named Stephen Bogart and Leslie Bogart. In 1961, Bacall married Jason Robards, another actor. But, she eventually divorced him in 1969. They had one kid named Sam Robards.

The other films that Bacall starred in include "Confidential Agent" (1945), "Young Man with a Horn" (1950), "Bright Leaf" (1950), "Woman's World" (1954), "Blood Alley" (1955) and "The Fan" (1981). She was also in "Howl's Moving Castle" (2004) and "Birth" (2004). Her last films are "The Forger" (2012) and "Ernest & Celestine." (2012 in France and Belgium, 2013 and 2014 in the U.S.)

Bacall won several acting awards including a Tony Award for Best Leading Actress in a Musical for "Applause" (1970), a Golden Globe Cecil B. DeMille Award in 1993 and an Academy Honorary Award in 2009. She won a Screen Actors Guild Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role and a Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role for 1997's "The Mirror Has Two Faces."
