Gary Cornell, lead singer of the Perth based band, Pyramid of the Coyote, dies after collapsing during a gig held at the Civic Hotel just last night. It was during the second song performance of their set that he went on a 'black out.'

Gary has a partner of 13 years, Julie Turner, with whom he has two kids, Madisan and Trinity. It was one shocking moment according to Turner on her interview with PerthNow today. She added that her romantic partner had always made it to a point of living his life full.

The Facebook page of the band is filled with a lot of tributes paid especially from the closest friend of Cornell, Kely Barcia, who is their guitarist. He was the one who made the official statement that stated Cornell's death to their fans saying that the suspected reason of his good friend's death is heart attack.

He thanked everyone who has supported Gary and their entire band all these years including the staff of the Civic hotel where the shocking death happened. There were staff who did CPR to revive Cornell, only to end up with nothing despite the efforts to bring back the singer's life.

This was definitely one big tragedy for the Aussie indie rock band especially with their 34 year old singer suddenly passing away.

Pyramid of the Coyote started way back in 2009 and released their EP in 2010 which was called 'Monkey Empire.'
