Leah Remini thinks that the Church of Scientology wants her to fail. The former “King of Queens” star has opened up about her fear that the church, which she left just recently, is waiting for her to fail. The infamous religion, however, “could care less” about the “self-absorbed” actress.

The 43-year-old actress is currently competing on the U.S. show “Dancing With The Stars.” And in a pre-filmed scene on the episode on Monday, she was seen taking a break from practicing with dance partner Tony Dovolani.

“The church is looking for me to fail so they can say to their parishioners, ‘Look what happens when you leave,’” she told the professional dancer, referring to Scientology.

“They’re waiting for me to fail.”

The said church has heard her, though, and quickly disproved her theory.

“We know this may come as a surprise to someone as self-absorbed as Ms Remini, but we could care less if she wins or loses on Dancing with the Stars,” a spokesperson from the church said in a statement to RadarOnline.com.

Does that mean that they care even just a little bit? Or perhaps the church meant that they “couldn’t” care less?

Leah left the controversial institution in July, apparently because she opposed some of its policies, including the “disconnection” policy and its practice of branding members who have left “Suppressive Persons.” The church has a reputation of cutting communication from those who defected, something that was confirmed by Leah herself when she visited Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show.

Her problems with the church reportedly started when she asked about the whereabouts of church leader David Miscavige’s wife in 2006, and was told that she did not possess the rank to ask such question.
