FCC listings indicated that Asus is reportedly working on a mysterious tablet that can potentially or directly go against the line of Google's Nexus. With the pending release of the Google Nexus 7.2 and increasing hype, Asus is testing the waters to penetrate the same market. Only a few weeks before the release of Nexus, speculations are also increasing that Asus is gearing for another global launch.

The timing is extremely convenient given the release of Nexus and the company's plan on launching their latest tablet globally.

The speculated device has also been listed under the Bluetooth Special Interest Group and the Federal Communications Commission listings. The listings confirm that despite the lack of announcement from the company, the device already passed specific standards. The leak also indicated that the new device from ASUS will be featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU and a 7-inch 1080p HD display.

The newest sighting of the Nexus 7 HD in the same listing also fuels talks about the potential battle between Asus and Google. What is even remarkable is that Asus is one of the primary components for the production of Nexus. If the maker will put out a product of its own, what does this spell for Google and Nexus?

Speculations have it that branding will be the deciding factor. Whoever markets and provides the best sales pitch of the two will come out the winner. Other features the K009 reportedly have include twin cameras, 4,000mAh battery and 4G LTE support. On the other side of things, the listing also suggests that Nexus 7HD will run on Snapdragon S4 Pro CPU.

Both parties are yet to confirm the matter. There are also rumors going around about the GTX 760 DirectCU II OC. Features will include: 1,152 CUDA cores, 28nm GK104 silicon as well as a 256-bit wide memory interface with up to 2GB of memory. The new ASUS 760 DirectCU II OC run on their acclaimed DirectCU dual slot cooler design supposedly.
