A Chinese Web site called C Technology just showed blurry images that they claim to be the frame of Apple's next iPhone. The photos were first spotted on 9to5Mac where it shows a smartphone frame that's significantly thinner and larger than the current iPhone 5S body. C Technology is sometimes reliable when it comes to Apple leaks so this is worth mentioning.

The screen that the alleged iPhone 6 frame could mount is quoted at 4.7-inches, which supports earlier claims. Previous rumours suggested that the iPhone 6 screen size will be between 4.7 inches to 5.5 inches with a higher resolution of 2772 x 1280 to allow existing apps to be easily scaled up. The housing could even mount a slightly larger 5-inch screen. The frame also points to a very thin house at around 6 mm.

The body, which looks shorter and wider than the iPhone 5S seems strange, though. It gives an iPhone Air feeling instead of a phablet one. The iPhone 6 may be expected to be released in September 2014 just like in previous years.

For what it's worth, the Apple news Web site, MacRumors, thinks the photos are fake. The Wall Street Journal and other online publications report that Apple is working around with big screen iPhones, with some as big as 6 inches. The iPhone 5S only has a 4-inch screen. There's a pretty good chance that 2014 is the year that Apple finally launches a smartphone with a screen big enough to compete with devices from rivals like Samsung and LG.

According to Bloomberg, Apple plans to release two next-gen devices in 2014: one with a curved glass and the other with a bigger screen. The glass is supposed to curve downward, a first for Apple and its iPhone line. Apart from the speculated screen size, the rumoured specs for the iPhone 6, to replace the iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C, include an upgraded 64-bit A8 processor with an M7 chip, 4 GB of RAM, 128 GB internal storage, facial technology, fingerprint sensor, and gesture-detecting sensors that may come with 3D motion sensors similar to Kinect. iPhone 6 is also rumoured to have an eye scanning sensor, just like the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S5.
