LeBron James, Cleveland Cavaliers To Open Against Carmelo Anthony and The New York Knicks
Two of the best small forwards of the league will banner the opening week of the opening night of the 2014-2015 NBA season.
Yahoo! Sports reports that the New York Knicks' Carmelo Anthony and LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers will face off on Oct. 30 in what will be the official homecoming of the "prodigal son" of Ohio. The Cavaliers were supposedly scheduled to play their first game on the road against the defending champions San Antonio Spurs. The change will now pit LeBron and possible teammate Kevin Love against a revamped Knicks.
The excitement for Cavaliers fan goes double as on the next night, the team will travel to Chicago to hurdle Derrick Rose, Joachim Noah, Pau Gasol and the rest of the Bulls. This match-up is one of the highly anticipated games as it will test the mettle of two potential eastern conference champions. Both teams will also be televised heavily on national broadcast after having a schedule of 25 appearances each.
The NBA season officially kicks off with "Ring Night" at San Antonio with the Spurs measuring their veteran craft against a reloaded Dallas Mavericks.
