If you're a fan of Downton Abbey, Lego or both, perhaps you'll appreciate this Lego set created by a fan.

Eric Stevens of Rochester, New York built the replica of the Downton Abbey out of Lego blocks and developed the characters out of Lego figures. He told Mail Online he made this set as a Christmas gift for his girlfriend who, like him, is an avid Downton Abbey fan.

To recreate the Downton Abbey in Lego blocks, Stevens looked for photos of Highclere Castle in West Berkshire, England, the building used as the residence of the fictional Crawley family. He used a digital designer to render the building design into something that can be easily interpreted in Lego bricks.

According to Stevens, both the abbey and the characters took about 15 hours to design and only 4 hours to assemble using Lego bricks and figurines.

As for the characters, he used each of the characters' photos as reference and sourced the Lego figurines from different Lego sets, including Indiana Jones, Prince of Persia, Harry Potter and Star Wars.

The most notable among the Downton Abbey figurines were that of Lady Sybil and the Dowager Countess Grantham, also known as Violet Crawley.

"The apron for Sybil's nurse outfit, I made myself," Stevens said.

The headpiece for Violet Crawley was very unique as it was taken out of Lego's Harry Potter set where it was made specifically for Prof. Minerva McGonagall. Both Minerva and Violet were played by Dame Maggie Smith.

Mashable, however, noted there is one character missing from the set - Anna Bates, maid of Lady Mary and wife of Mr. Bates. According to Stevens, she was also visually similar to Lady Sybil.

Ever since his work was featured in various publications in the U.S. and in UK, Stevens has received offers to build Lego replicas of buildings from other TV shows, most notably the Game of Thrones.
