John Holland's managing director Glenn Palin said, "This contract builds on our history of work with the Department of Defence and a number of recent successes in the Hunter region, which remains a major focus for our construction business in New South Wales."

General Manager of John Holland's NSW/ACT Region, Rob Monaci, said: "John Holland continues to deliver vital works for the Department of Defence as part of the ELF program, including ongoing stage one works at Singleton and Kapooka Army Base outside of Wagga Wagga."

"The award consolidates our relationship with the Department of Defence and highlights the scope of our experience and knowledge of delivering major building works in the defence sector."

Works will commence immediately and are expected to be completed in December 2012.
