While the actor’s big win at the award for “The Revenant” and the little “Titanic” moment with Kate Winslet were the highlights of the event, DiCaprio also managed to make news due to his hilarious reaction to Lady Gaga’s victory at the Golden Globes.

The even bigger news of the moment is that DiCaprio has stepped out to explain his reaction.

“Oh lord -- that’s trending, huh?” DiCaprio said on being asked about the reaction by an Entertainment Tonight reporter. “I just didn’t know what was passing me -- that’s all!” the actor added. He also opened up about winning the award for “The Revenant.”

“This is a type of film that you won’t see coming out of the Hollywood studio system very often. It’s an epic art film and I’m just so happy it got recognized tonight,” the actor said. The flick has won three awards at Golden Globes 2016, including Best Director for Alejandro G. Iñárritu, Best Motion Picture (Drama) and the Best Actor (Drama) title grabbed by Leonardo DiCaprio.

“I want to make more movies like this, and I want the studios to take more chances on movies like this,” “The Revenant” star exclaimed. Interestingly, DiCaprio was accompanied by his father, George, to the event. The star also stated that it was a fun night for the father-son duo as his father barely attends such star-studded events.
