Leonardo DiCaprio pays tribute to Titanic co-star Gloria Stuart
Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio remembers his Titanic co-star Gloria Stuart as a force. In a statement issued by the actor, he said Stuart was a fantastic actress, and was someone who fought for what she believed in.
"Gloria Stuart was a force both on and off screen," DiCaprio's statement read. "An amazingly sweet person, a fantastic actress, and someone who always fought for what she believed in."
Gloria Stuart passed away last weekend in Los Angeles. Stuart's family said the actress died Sunday night at her home, five years after she was first diagnosed with lung cancer at the age of 100.
DiCaprio co-starred with Gloria Stuart in the 1997 film Titatic where she played as the narrator and the older Rose Calvert.
Stuart was the oldest actress to be nominated for an Academy Award, at the age of 87, for her role in Titanic.
