Leonardo DiCaprio's face slasher Aretha Wilson pleads not guilty of assault
Aretha Wilson, who allegedly slashed Inception star Leonardo Di Caprio's face, pleaded not guilty today in Los Angeles, California to a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon stemming from incident five years ago.
Last month, Aretha Wilson turned the tables against Leonardo DiCarpio, claiming that it was the Hollywood star Leo started the confrontation between the two, leading to the incident five years ago.
Wilson's lawyer also requested a toxicology report as well as Leo's medical records from the evening the unfortunate incident happened.
Her counsel also claims inconsistencies in the witnesses' testimonies and that the movie star did not report the event for three days.
Wilson was extradited back to the U.S. from Toronto last July. She spent time in jail for a similar assault in her native country. Wilson is still in jail and she is yet to post a $150,000 bail.If convicted, the alleged Leonardo DiCaprio' attacker could face up to seven years in prison.
