Filipino cartoonist Pol Medina seems not to have learned his lessons. After being threatened with a lawsuit by St Scholastica's College in Manila over a lesbian joke gone bad in his Pugad Baboy (Pig Sty) comic strip in the Philippine Daily Inquirer, he is again tapping into lesbian humour.

Forced to moved his 25-year-old comic strip to its new home, the object of Medina's pen this time is former child star turned acoustic singer, the lesbian singer Aiza Seguerra.

Medina called her Asia's T-Bird, a take-off from the title Asia's Songbird bestowed on singer Regine Velasquez. One blogger said, former Glee star Charice Pempengco would no longer qualify for the regional T-bird title because she has the International T-Bird crown.

Ironically, the dig came out in its new home, Rappler, a social news network owned by former CNN correspondent and ex-ABS-CBN News chief Maria Ressa, who is also a lesbian.

The Web site Spinbusters rapped Ressa for allowing Medina's pig shit on fellow lesbians.

"We're not surprised that Rappler-in-Chief Maria Ressa - herself a lesbian - did not lift a finger on Medina's comic strip rampage. Here's the spin done purely for marketing purposes: the Lady Boss is gay yet she's allowing, if not encouraging, her prized cartoonist's bigotry," Spinbusters wrote.

"That's 'freedom of expression' Rappler-style. To hell with dignity, respect, and political correctedness! Let Ressa's Rappler crap on her own kind so long as she gets her clicks," Spinbusters added.

Meanwhile, Charice continues to get criticisms for her very masculine hairstyle despite receiving support for her admission on national television that she is lesbian.

This prompted gay hairdresser Ricky Reyes, who once was given the title First Gay because of his closeness to former Philippine First Lady Amelia Ramos due to their free hair cutting programme for poor and jobless Filipinos, offered to give international singer a make-over.

"One of these days, I'd like to do her hair. I'd like to teach he what will fit her. Her hair should have height, it should have a little background on the face, not all over her face because her face is rounded and she is quite petite. All those factors should be considered," Reyes said in Filipino.

He said styling one's hair should not just to be trendy. "What she should look is if the hairdo fits her," he added.

Besides her short masculine hair said to be an imitation of teen heartthrob Daniel Padilla and South Korean singer Psy, Charice was also criticised for dyeing her hair blonde and sporting big curls, making her look like she was wearing a noodles-inspired wig.
