The Lesbian Chronicles: Chippendales Invite Former Glee Star Charice Pempengco to Watch Their Manila Show (VIDEOS)

While former Glee star Charice Pempengco may have outed in a Philippine television show, with technology plus her stature as an international singer, news of her admission the other Sunday that she is lesbian has been reported in international media also.

One of those who have heard about the 21-year-old singer's public outing is Bryan, a member of the Las Vegas strip group Chippendales, who considers the newly outed lesbian singer as his idol.

Since the group is performing in Manila, Pampanga and Cebu on June 11 to 15 as part of the 2013 Unleashed Tour, the famous male revue personally invited Charice during their Monday press conference to watch their show.

Bryan even joked that watching these buffed men strip may change Charice's mind about preferring women over men. However, levity aside, the Chippendales supported her outing and even dedicated the song of half-Filipino performer Bruno Mars to Charice, Just the Way You Are.

"Going through that is great ... In her age and feels comfortable coming out. It's okay to be who you are and we need more performers like Charice to say 'I want you to love me for my craft and for what I do and not for my personal life,'" said Bryan, quoted by ABS-CBN.

The venue of the Chippendales show is the Resorts World Manila in Pasay City, Hotel Stotsenberg in Clark, Pampanga and the Marco Polo Plaza in Cebu.

A week after her controversial outing, more support came out for Charice. One of them is Mocha Uson, the leader singer of the all-Filipinas group Mocha Girls, who is a bisexual.

At the same time, Mocha urged other Filipino celebrities still in the closet to imitate Charice and admit their real sexuality.

"Go Charice! It's time for the other celebrities to stop pretending & just be proud of who they really are," Mocha tweeted on June 2.

She added in Filipino, quoted by Pep.ph, "Stop pretending. Be true to yourself because you just make it harder. You are just fooling yourselves and your fans, but you are not really happy."
