After providing unsolicited advice on career and lovelife to former Glee star and now out lesbian Charice Pempengco, fellow lesbian Aiza Seguerra made beautiful music on Friday night singing David Guetta's hit song Titanium.

Aiza, dubbed Asia's T-bird by Filipino cartoonist Pol Medina, was the featured artist together with Noel Cabangon at Onstage Greenbelt, a high-end shopping centre in the Philippine financial district of Makati. The gig was titled Tambayan (Hangout) Hits, which had included top Filipino singers such as Charice, spouses Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez, Juris and Nyoy Volante as guests.

As a jamming session, the two young lesbians had an opportunity to sing together for the first time in their careers, giving their rendition of Titanium which earned them and Cabangon on guitar thunderous applause from the grateful audience.

Titanium, originally sang by French DJ and music producer David Guetta with vocal performance by Australian recording artist Sia, is about inner strength which aptly describes Charice and Aiza who have shown courage to admit their gender preference despite the risk of public outing on their careers.

Titanium, seen below, became number one in the UK and was top 10 in several major western music markets. However, it was pulled from radio stations in the U.S. after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting in December 2012.

The coming together of Charice and Aiza indicates the development of a strong and growing friendship between the two Filipina celebrity singers who ran parallel lives despite the 8-year age gap.

Both started their careers at a young age. Aiza joined Eat Bulaga's Little Miss Philippines when she was 3 and became one of the hosts of the long-running noontime show. Charice started joining singing competitions when she was 4.

Both were later hounded by rumours about their different gender preferences, but initially denied being lesbians to protect their careers.

Because of their musical talent - Aiza is also known as the country's premier acoustic singer and Charice gained international fame after guesting in Ellen DeGeneres's and Oprah Winfrey's shows - they became mentors in different singing competitions on Philippine television and the young girls they mentored became their girlfriends.

On difference, though, between the two is that Aiza enjoys a good relationship with Protégé champion Krizza Neri while Charice is struggling for her family's acceptance of her relationship with Alyssa Quijano, whom Charice competed with in Little Big Star and then mentored in the X Factor.

Now out to their world and proud of their sexuality, both women opted for the butch look with short hair, masculine attire and tattoos. Aiza and Charice coming together would likely result in more future collaboration between the two young but very talented singers - an indication of lesbian power in Philippine show business dominated by gay men.
