Notwithstanding her new atrocious hair do, former Glee star Charice Pempengco was named by a U.S. LGBT Web site on Thursday as the Hottest Lesbian in the World.

Pep.ph reported that out of 105 famous lesbians in the world, the newly outed 21-year-old Filipina singer topped the global list, which excluded American TV host Ellen DeGeneres who helped Charice break into the international scene.

The Web site, www.autostraddle.com, is an "intelligent, hilarious & provocative voice and a progressively feminist online community for a new generation of kickass lesbian, bisexual & otherwise inclined ladies (and their friends)."

In its article titled Hotties You Will Like Who Also Like Girls, the Web site included WNBA Basketball player Alexis Hornbuckle, America's Next Top Model finalist AZMarie Livingston, retired tennis champion Martina Navratilova, porn star Courtney Trouble, Filipina stage actress Monique Wilson, Australian Senator Penny Wong and Hollywood actress Zoe Saldana.

In the write-up, the Web site noted that "Charice has been struggling with her family since coming out a month ago, but is finding love/happiness with her girlfriend Alyssa Quijano."

The article ended with a teaser that "Maybe she should return to Glee and date Santana or something. OH MY GOD WHAT IF SHE RETURNED TO GLEE AND DATE SANTANA OR SOMETHING."

Santana is the lesbian character in Glee played by actress Naya Rivera who outed herself to her fellow cheerleaders and mother, who threw her out of the house.

Santana's reel life is art imitating real life in the case of Charice who still continue to have differences with her own mother, Raquel, who ironically used to be a lesbian.

Before Charice admitted on a Philippine gossip show that she has a different sexual preference, there were rumours that she is lesbian, fueled by the sudden change in her appearance from feminine to masculine.

However, the changes include cutting short her hair and dyeing it blond, which was thumbed down by many fans, including her latest spiky style which she posted in Instagram on Wednesday.

Charice said her newest hairstyle was made for the forthcoming release of her latest album and for change. She insisted the hairdo was not copied from anyone, unlike her last cut which had similarities with Psy's and Filipino matinee idol Daniel Padilla's hairstyle.
