Although many details have already come out of former Glee star Charice Pempengco's coming out, she has not confirmed any of them herself. The 21-year-old Filipina singer finally revealed details of how her relationship with girlfriend Alyssa Quijano developed and how her rift with her mother, Raquel Pempengco, worsened.

The juicy details of her personal life were aired Aug 10, Saturday night, at GMA-7's Magpakailanman (Forever) long-running anthology.

The first confirmation was that Raquel, played by actress Glydel Mercado, was the one who vehemently tried to prevent the truth about Charice's real sexuality from coming out for fear of it destroying her international singing career. Charice's decision to come out led to several confrontations between mum and daughter such as this one.

As a result, she left home and used the opportunity to grow closer to Alyssa, portrayed by actress Ryza Cenon.

Eventually the mother-daughter pair decided to kiss and make up which led Charice to come home. However, she brought with her Alyssa and this led to a confrontation with her mum.

The spoiled dinner was followed by Charice telling Alyssa her true feelings that her former song competition rival initially found confusing because it was the first time that a female had told her such things.

When things worsened and speculations about her true sexuality further grew, her manager told her honestly that her career's growth is a big question mark unless she admits publicly that she is lesbian, which she eventually did in ABS-CBN gossip show The Buzz.

Her public admission, however, drew applause not only in the Philippines but even abroad, paving the way for Charice to begin resuming her career, including a Sept 28 concert with fellow lesbian Aiza Seguerra.

Toward the end of the drama anthology annotated by Mel Tiangco, Charice admitted that she thought that her career would end because of her different gender preference, but she was proven wrong with Charice even being voted world's hottest lesbian a few weeks after her coming out.
