The Lesbian Chronicles: Mother of Former Glee Star Charice Pempengco Could Never Accept Daughter’s GF Alyssa Quijano (VIDEOS)

Despite the hurt caused by former Glee star Charice Pempengco turning her back on her family in favour of her girlfriend, upcoming singer Alyssa Quijano, the mother of the 21-year-old international singer, Raquel Pempengco, is will to accept the reality that Charice no longer treats Raquel as her mother.

"But I could never accept Alyssa," Raquel said on Sunday at The Buzz, the same TV programme where Charice admitted last week she is lesbian.

Although she did not explain in The Buzz why she could never accept her daughter's girlfriend, citing personal reasons, even if she accepts Charice's gender preference, previous statements indicate her dislike for Alyssa runs deep, all the way back when the two girls were rival in singing contests, not lovers.

The hint was confirmed by professionals interviewed by The Buzz that there must have been a deep seated issued between mother and daughter that Charice only used her gender preference to stay away from the family.

One possible angle is physical abuse since Raquel admitted having pulled Charice's hair when they were in Los Angeles, California, after she asked her daughter if she is lesbian when she discovered evidence on the singer's laptop that indicated her real sexuality.

Raquel recalled that since she had observed Charice's behaviour since she was a child, she had asked her daughter several times if she is lesbian, but the singer had previously denied it, probably afraid that her family could not accept it.

However, confronted with talks on the Internet that Charice then was in a same-sex relationship with Courtney Blooding, her road manager and personal assistant, her daughter admitted that Courtney is her girlfriend.

Although the couple eventually split, it is Charice's current relationship that is causing much pain to Raquel, who had also admitted on Friday that she was a former lesbian, but out of obedience to her mother, agreed to marry a man and change her lifestyle.

Raquel also admits being so hurt when Charice says in interviews that she has found a second family in Cabuyao, Laguna, where she is staying since she left home.

"We used to defend each when there were issues against Charice, now I am alone pitted against my daughter," Raquel lamented in Filipino.
