The Lesbian Chronicles: What If Former Glee Star Charice Pempengco Pursued Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo Instead of Current GF Alyssa Quijano? (VIDEOS & PHOTOS)

If former Glee Star Charice Pempengco is now torn between her family and her current girlfriend, upcoming singer Alyssa Quijano, what would it be like had she pursued instead another ABS-CBN singer, Sarah Geronimo.

Like Charice, Sarah - more known as the Pop Princess - has a very powerful voice, legions of fans and popularity that aspiring singers like Alyssa crave for.

Curious minds are now asking what if Charice pursued Sarah, whom she admitted is her crush among Filipino female celebrities.

While the public has accepted Charice's admission of her gender preference, her family accepting Alyssa is another thing, as well as the other way around. Tess Relucio, Charice's maternal grandmother said on Friday that no way will the Relucio family accept Alyssa even if the clan has accepted Charice's being lesbian.

The Quijano family appears to neither like Charice nor for her and Alyssa to be a couple, the 21-year-old singer admitted. When the couple allegedly eloped, the mother of Alyssa is said to have forcibly took her back with the help of police authorities.

If these things are giving her headaches, it would have been worse had she pursue Sarah because of the stage mother reputation of Divine Geronimo, the Pop Princess's mum.

Mrs Geronimo, in fact, had put her foot down on two male actors who had attempted to court Sarah - Rayver Cruz and Gerald Anderson - and this had raised a lot of questions in showbiz how domineering she is even in her daughter's personal affairs.

If Mommy Divine, as Mrs Geronimo is called, objects to boyfriends for her 25-year-old daughter, she will surely and vehemently object to a lesbian lover for her precious daughter.

And the objection would surely be on religious ground because Mrs Geronimo is a known member of a Christian group that generally frown on same-sex relationships.

While other Filipina stars had also come out in the recent past, such as former Miss Saigon star Monique Wilson, turns out Charice's coming out is more than just the issue of her sexuality but delves deeper into the history of the women from her maternal side who has cyclical issues of lesbianism and mother-daughter conflict.

Charice falling for Sarah would be like an atomic bomb hitting Manila since the Pop Princess's family has its own history of mother-daughter conflict, were it not for Sarah being more passive and giving in to Mommy Divine's iron hand in ruling her career and her heart.

And a Charice-Sarah pairing would again be history repeating itself like the Charice-Alyssa love story which was ignited when the two met again in an ABS-CBN singing competition where Alyssa was a contestant and Charice a judge and mentor.

Sarah, it turns out was the host of the singing competition where Charice was runner-up that led to her eventual international career.
