Adele's estranged father Mark Evans, who walked out on the singer when she was a child, is now begging her daughter to let him see his grandson Angelo James. The 51-year-old is currently battling bowel cancer and is living under fear that he might never see the 10-month-old baby's face.

Evans told The Sun that it's his last wish to see Angelo and the grandfather fears that he might have to leave the world without making peace with Adele.

"I still haven't met Angelo and I'm facing the fact I may never do. It could be over for me before I get to make my peace with Adele," the ailing grandfather said.

Adele broke all ties with her dad after he gave a tell-all interview about his daughter and their past around two years ago. Mark allegedly said in that interview that Adele would spit in his face if she saw him again.

However the granddad to Angelo is currently struggling for his life at the hospital. The doctors had found 11 potentially deadly growths in his colon. It is not sure if the cancer has stopped spreading even after the surgeries.

Adele was a three-year-old toddler when Mark walked out on her and her mother Penny Adkins, who alone brought up Adele in her London flat. Adele's father himself admitted to being a terrible dad and was most of the time drinking.

The two did spend some time together when Adele was in school but then Mark gave a controversial interview about their past and the father-daughter duo fell apart in December 2011.

Adele gave birth to her some ten months back but chose not to inform her dad about her pregnancy and birth. The father of Angelo is Simon Konecki, who is Adele's business partner.

Mark says he is constantly writing letters to her daughter to ask for forgiveness and wants to spend his last days with Adele's baby, doing things he could not do when Adele was a child.

"The years are going by and I'm worried I'm not going to see my grandson and do the things with him that I did when Adele was a child," he complains.

It's up to Adele to grant forgiveness to his dad and start a new chapter yet again in her life.
